Registration + Tuition

Our studio has some policies regarding registration and tuition that applies for the full year. If you have any questions or concerns that are not addressed below, please contact the studio for more information.

GENERAL REGISTRATION:

  • All students must complete registration ,emergency forms , waivers online and pay class tuition before taking any classes at UDC Studio

  • By registering for classes, your dancer is committing to a FULL Dance season from Sept-June. There will be no refunds on tuition after October 31, 2022.

 

APPLIES TO SEPTEMBER ENROLMENT ONLY:

  • Costume Deposits are $85.00 due upon registration. Costume deposits are non-refundable. Any outstanding balances (exchange rate, tax and duties) will be paid in the Spring 2023

    • Dancers will be asked to send in their measurements for costumes close to their due dates. If that is not possible, we will measure the dancers and wear proper PPE when doing so.

    • All costumes will be given to students hung and in garment bags 

  • Class Attire: At the time of registration, if there is a uniform required for your class, we will order it so that your dancer will receive it before class starts (Due to COVID-19, we may not be able to order attire. If your current attire still fits, new purchases are not necessary).

    • Cost of dance uniform and shoes will be an extra cost.

    • Dancers can find their proper dance uniforms at Beetles (in Richmond), or The Dance Shop (in Vancouver).

  • We do not offer pro-rated (discounted) tuition for short months or late registration, as rates are based on an annual amount. 

REGISTRATION

2022/2023 TUITION + FEES:

  • There is a $35.00 + GST non-refundable registration fee for all new and returning dancers.

    • Early Bird Rate ($30.00 + GST) if registered online by July 15th, 2022

  • There is a  $35.00 +GST non-refundable recital fee for all new and returning dancers.​

 

MONTHLY CLASS RATES - (does not include GST)

*Competitive and Company Tuition Fees are separate from regular class rates.*

  • Please see online registration or email us for tuition fees.

PAYMENT TERMS:

  • Tuition must be received at the time of registration in the form of: online payment or credit card for monthly tuition payments.

  • There is no reduction in tuition or refunds for missed classes.

  • If there is no valid credit card online, payment of tuition must be paid online on their account by the 1st of the month, or a late fee of $35.00 will apply.

  • There are NO refunds, credits, or transfers on tuition paid (NO EXCEPTIONS)

  • There will be a $35.00 service fee for all returned cheques.

  • Any monthly payments for classes will be posted on the 1st of each month. Online payments, cheques, credit cards accepted only. 

    • Tuition paid after the 1st of the month is subject to late penalty fee of $35.00​​ 

PRIVATE CLASSES:

  • Privates must be paid for in advance.

  • Privates for Competitive Solo, Duos, Trios must be paid in advance with a minimum of 10 private classes. 

  • Private classes (1 hr) $100.00 (Solos), $150.00 (Duo), $200.00(Trio).                     

  • Single Drop in class prices are determined by style and workshop length.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • We offer a $25 credit for our Friends and Family referral

  • We offer a siblings' discount of 10% to tuition for existing student's siblings who are new to our studio! The 1st sibling pays full price, and every subsequent sibling will receive 10% off their tuition. 

  • Trial Classes $25.00+GST per class (applied to tuition if dancer registers to that trial class) 

  • Classes that are canceled due to weather, power outages, pandemics, and situations beyond our control, we will make an attempt to reschedule based on the teacher's schedule. Unfortunately, if rescheduling classes are not possible, we do not provide a refund or credit on that class.
